Title: Network Systems Engineer Posted:July 2, 2010

Duties

The Systems Engineer is a hybrid position that will primarily be responsible for tier 1 support of our end user community while helping to support and maintain systems in our high-availability network. Responsibilities include design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure, desktop and server operating systems, file network, database, web servers, virtualization and network security equiptment. He/she will employ standard tools to monitor network health, softward liscense compliance and database performance. Employee shall use excellent verbal and written communication skills when training XenoTech users in technical matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Computer Science from four-year college or university; and five years supporting enterprise class systems in production environments.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level SQL programming skills, excellent understanding of RDBMS modeling, tuning and administration
  • Understanding of the following systems and technologies: Microsoft OS's, RAID, NAS, ISCI SAN, VMWARE ESX systems.
  • Must be able to support all Microsoft products and several other business specific applications.
  • Experience as a PC technician, Help Desk Technician, and Systems Engineer.

Title: Technical Lab Services Manager Posted:July 2, 2010

Duties

  • Employee will manage teams of scientists in the conduct of drug metabolism-related biomedical research by performing duties in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations and XenoTech safety policies and procedures.
  • Employee will function as project manager on a number of assigned projects
  • Employee will independently conduct and directly supervise the conduct of individual projects.
  • Employee will effectively communicate relevant TLS information to others in the company and will motivate teams to work together in the most efficient manner.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) plus two years related experience; Masters (M.S./M.A.) plus four years of related experience; or Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in science related field from four-year college or university plus six years related experience.
  • It is desired that the employee has 2-5 years of previous management experience of multiple, scientific departments.
  • Employee should have strong technical skills and experience with implementing laboratory automation and robotic solutions which may include: equipment (such as Tecan), computer software (such as KC4 and Evoware), computer hardware, tools, etc.
  • Employee should have experience in designing new automated systems, and has the ability to identify new areas where automation could enhance efficiency and laboratory throughput.
  • Employee should have an advanced to intermediate experience of laboratory information management system (such as Galileo) implementation and administration.

  • Employee should have an advanced to intermediate experience of custom reporting tools.

Title: Technical Writer I Posted:July 16, 2010

Duties

This Technical Writer will be assisting in the preparation of the company's contract service reports and data summaries. Responsibilities include reviewing and processing final reports, assembling various components into draft reports and preparing and maintaining document templates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Technical Writing or other related field from four-year college or university.
  • Excellent written communication skills with an emphasis on presentation, grammar, formatting and written discussion of scientific data.
