BCRP Specific Inhibitor-Ko134

Inhibitors of the breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP/ABCG2) are of interest in both in vivo and in vitro research investigating chemotherapeutic drugs. Ko134 is a tetracyclic fumitremorgin C (FTC) analog that is a highly-potent and specific inhibitor of the BCRP / ABCG2 multidrug transporter protein, surpassing the BCRP inhibitory effects of GF120918 with low activity against P-glycoprotein, MRP1 and other known drug transporters. Ko134 is tested to be nontoxic in both in vitro and in vivo mouse studies at useful concentrations, making it an excellent laboratory reagent (Allen, et.al, 2002).

Features

  • High inhibitory potency against BCRP / ABCG2
  • Low inhibitory potency against P-gp/MDR1/ABCB1, MRP1/ABCC1 and other known transporters
  • Nontoxic
