This antibody was raised in rabbits against purified rat CYP2B1. The recommended use for this antibody is to ascertain the role of human CYP2B6 in the metabolism of drugs. The use of inhibitory antibodies is one of the approaches used for reaction phenotyping. The graph shown below illustrates the inhibitory effect of the antibody on CYP activity in human liver microsomes. Please note that the antibody inhibits CYP2B6 and CYP2A6.
